Description
Summary:"At present, the poultry company Inversiones Wamu S.A.S, with its brand Pronto Aves, is in charge of the commercialization of raw chicken in the city of Bogotá. During their processes of classification, freezing, chopping and transport of the chickens different types of waste are produced, including organic matter, fats and, in a greater proportion, blood water, these residues need a treatment that allows compliance with the regulations in the established levels. As a starting point to achieve the development of a proposal for the wastewater treatment system, a diagnosis and subsequent evaluation was made, by means of the parameters established for the poultry industry that are SST, BOD, COD, temperature, pH, fats. and oils, finding flaws in the operation of the pre-treatment with which the company currently has and non-compliance with resolution 0631 of March 17, 2015. Once the characterization of the industrial wastewater generated in the plant has been carried out, a maintenance routine is proposed for the solids retention grids and the grease traps to improve the efficiency of the current pre-treatment, likewise in this document it was evaluated experimentally At the laboratory level, a primary treatment was oxidation, coagulation - flocculation and then a simple filtration. For the selection of chemical agents, bibliographic background and laboratory recommendations were taken into account, determining the reagents used as Calcium Hypochlorite, Aluminum Hydroxychloride, Ferric Chloride , Aluminum Sulfate, ASPRE-098 and Polyacrylamide, where Aluminum Sulfate and ASPRE-098 were chosen as the coagulants with visually efficient results, as well as their respective dosages for both oxidizing, coagulating and flocculating agents. After carrying out oxidation, coagulation-flocculation, a simple filtration is carried out by means of a funnel and filter paper, obtaining removal percentages from turbidity greater than 90%.
