Description
Summary:Marcel France is a company that is dedicated to the manufacture of hair products which are made with a high percentage of water that must be free of impurities, which allows the product does not destabilize. Currently they have a water deionization process, which is only used for the production of sensitive products such as tinctures, oxygenated and permanent creams, to start each production should wait for the filling of a kettle to start with another since The permeate flow can not supply all the lines, for this a proposal is presented for the improvement of this process. To develop this proposal, a diagnosis of the conditions in which the deionization process is found. Possible improvements were evaluated and three alternatives were determined. For selection the alternative we used a weighted selection matrix, which was evaluated with different criteria; Of this selection was chosen alternative 2 and 3 that obtained the highest rating. The selected proposals consisted in the implementation of filtration and storage equipment, adaptation of the reverse osmosis equipment, change of pipes and control valves in the existing filters, allowing to obtain a greater flow of deionized water, minimizing the time of filling in the pots and initiation In production. Finally, a cost analysis was performed to establish the investment in the adequacy of this deionization process.
