Summary: | This document presents the proposal for the completion of a type injector well in the Casabe Field, based on experimental evaluations at laboratory and field scale, with the aim of reducing the mechanical degradation suffered by the polymer solution at the time of injection, which allows to maintain the design parameters of the improved recovery project and reach the expected recovery factor. In the first place, an analysis of the parameters and variables that influence the mechanical degradation of the polymer solution during the injection process was performed, these were subsequently evaluated on a laboratory scale using the methodology of Ecopetrol S.A. based on the API RP 63, which included the preparation of polymer solutions and the evaluation of their viscosity behavior in different scenarios. Next, the results of the laboratory phase were compared with the results previously obtained by Ecopetrol S.A on a field scale, which finally allowed us to select the type of optimal completion for the case study that minimizes the mechanical degradation of the polymer solution. |
