Summary: | In the document, the integration of fluid flow models in reservoirs by Borisov, Giger, Reiss and Jourdan and Renard & Dupuy together with the Beggs and Brill pipe fluid flow model was performed for determining the optimum horizontal section length of an horizontal well of the Suria Field. Initially was made a description of the geology of the Suria Field, followed by a theoretical framework of horizontal wells, rock properties and reservoir fluids, and reservoir and pipeline flow equations; Then the characteristics of the reservoir, well, fluids and the pump for the T2 well on which the study was conducted are described. Later an analytical model of the theoretical foundations was generated, the integration of fluid flow models using Microsoft Excel was programmed by the corresponding equations and the relationship between the flow of fluids in reservoirs and along the pipeline was evaluated. Finally, a financial study was carried out taking into account the costs of the income generated by the production of the well for different lengths, allowing a quick validation of the optimum horizontal section length of a well in the different proposed models, through the financial indicator of the net present value. |
