Summary: | The inclusion of non-conventional renewable energies in Colombia brings with it great advantages for the country, mainly due to the availability of resources, the progressive reduction in investment costs associated with their use, and their evolution in terms of performance and technology. Taking into account the high consumption of electrical energy in the country's residential sector and meeting the government's objectives in terms of expanding the energy basket, this project seeks to estimate the feasibility of implementing photovoltaic solar energy in Ibagué, analyzing both its technical viability through software known in the industry such as SAM and PVSol, as well as its financial viability through simulations and analyzing important financial parameters such as the levelized cost of energy and the internal rate of return. |
