Description
Summary:In this research the capacity of chromium removal using the microalga was determined. Scenedesmus dimorphus and the incidence of the photo panel of the flat panel and of the photobioreactor adapted in the process, the latter is a cylindrical glass vessel, which has three openings in the lid, two for agitation and one for degassing. From the bibliographic review of articles that have carried out a chromium removal treatment with microalgae cultures, it is defined as a concentration range of a laboratory cycle, minimum and maximum found, which corresponds to [1-300 mg / L ], and on the other hand, the chemical form of chromium worked in said treatments was determined, which were Cr + 3 and Cr + 6. For the pre-experimental development, 6 chromium levels were taken within the established range, 50 mg / L , 100 mg / L, 150 mg / L, 200 mg / L, 250 mg / L, 300 mg / L and each of the pre had a concentration equivalent to the two forms of chromium, Cr + 3 with chromium oxide ( Cr2O3) and Cr + 6 with potassium dichromate (K2Cr2O7), in order to determine the best result between the concentrations and between the chemical forms of chromium. The growth of the microalga Scenedesmus dimorphus is greater in the concentration of 100 mg / L of chromium in which cellular was obtained (1.88E + 06 cel / mL) and specific growth rate (0.215 d-1) for the sample that It contains chromium oxide (Cr2O3).
