Summary:In the present degree work, a series of simulations were carried out through the ANSYS program in order to evaluate the performance of wind turbines for the supply of energy in urban areas of Bogotá D.C. The specific turbine to be evaluated is a 3 kW vertical-helical Darrieus type. Which handles a NACA0021 profile, with a diameter of 1.05 meters, a total of 3 blades and a rope length of 100 mm. Additionally, a configuration of the ANSYS FLUENT system was handled with a solver based on velocity-pressure, with a static flow, handling the MRF rotational model, with the SIMPLE solver algorithm and a k-ω turbulence model.
