Description
Summary:A boiler with an initial capacity of 10 BHP was designed, expandable by the incorporation of modules up to 25 BHP. To provide a more adequate alternative to micro and small companies, to attend to an eventual increase in the demands of steam, as a consequence of the growth of the demands of their products and / or services, or the implementation of new productive processes. To achieve this objective, boilers and their operating mechanisms were first thoroughly studied, with emphasis on pyro-tubular boilers. In order to design a product that is adapted to the needs of the Colombian market, a market study focused mainly on micro and small companies that could use water vapor in their production processes. Thanks to this research, the operating parameters such as working pressure and fuel type were established, in addition to identifying the tastes and preferences of the consumers. With this information were presented and evaluated design alternatives on the operation of the equipment in general and on specific systems of this.
