| Summary: | This work aims to determine the impact of implementing an energy management system, based on ISO 50001 on organizations. So the qualitative research was divided into 3 stages. The first, a contextualization of the current state of knowledge about ISO 50001 and related topics, through the use of a bibliographic analysis tool known as Scopus, where the European and Asian continents were identified as leaders. It also identifies the way in which the Standard applies and is focused on the PHVA improvement cycle, in its two versions. The second stage describes and analyses the importance of the correct formulation of EnPI energy performance indicators and the EnB energy baseline. Being the two pillars that underpin the measurement, monitoring and evaluation of the energy management system, also allowing the identification of opportunities for improvement and charting the goals together with the action plans to achieve them. |
