Summary:In this document, the importance of wastewater treatments in mining will be shown to prevent heavy metals from reaching the water sources and thus be able to mitigate contamination by these, for this, 14 forms of conventional wastewater treatment and 6 non-conventional, taking into account both comparative matrices and surveys carried out with people involved in the mining field, in order to obtain a slightly broader vision of all the factors that could be involved in the development of water cleaning processes, from environmental to economic based on the principles of sustainability.
