Summary:In the course of more than 20 years of existence of the North American Free Trade Agreement, NAFTA, there have been many challenges that have had to be faced when trying to integrate two highly developed economies such as Canada and United States economies with Mexican emerging economy. It was expected that due to the entry of Mexico into an economic integration process with these powers, there would be an approach to those economies due to the generation of capital flow to Mexico, technology and information exchange, which would help to reduce the technological and development gap between Mexico and its northern neighbors.
