Description
Summary:The study focused on the comparison of the main flavonoid fixation methods to the TiO2 surface. A technology surveillance study was initially undertaken to search for articles covering this topic. The most appropriate ones were selected in relation to the objectives of this investigation and it was confirmed that the most documented sensitizer is anthocyanin within the flavonoid group. The physico-chemical properties of the sensitiser, the advantages and disadvantages of each method of fixation, as well as the photocatalytic efficiency of the sensitiser in the degradation of the pollutant were taken into account in comparing the methods of fixation. Based on the selected articles it is concluded that anthocyanins are potential sensitisers, and the main methods studied are: Impregnation, spin coating, sol-gel and mixing.
