Summary:The development of this degree work is aimed at the energy utilization of a wastewater effluent from the production of alkyd resins by implementing a water treatment system and thus comply with the current regulations for the project "Resolution 1207 of July 25 Of 2014 "which establishes the parameters that must be met for the different provisions of treated water. For the development of the present project a diagnosis of the industrial waste water generated in the company in the process of alkyd resin production was made, through an external laboratory where the parameters required by the standard were measured, defining the critical factors that required treatment. For the selection of the best treatment alternative, several options were considered, taking into account factors such as cost and theoretical removal percentages of each of the unit operations that made up the treatment systems, being evaluated by means of a selection matrix .
