Description
Summary:This degree work was carried out with the Operator Ecopetrol S.A in order to select a water source that requires the properties and characteristics required for the continuation of the water injection project in the Bonanza Field. To carry out this project, the 54 wells in the field were reviewed. In the first instance, from the Sahara, software used to corroborate the information studied from the production history. The software also reviewed the years, electrical records, production data, interventions and other relevant information that facilitated the study of all the wells. In this way 10 points were selected that were located in the structural map of the field to see if there was a trend or similarity between them. Once this was done, it was found that the Lisama Formation was responsible for the production of water in some of the selected wells, bearing in mind that this production was not related to the proximity of the contact or the injection patterns. Therefore, it was decided to make a comparison between the Real Group, the water source from which the water is currently taken for the injection process in the field, with the Lisama Formation found. Salinity and volumetric potential were taken into account for this analysis.
