Description
Summary:The public policies of nations have set their sights on the concept of gender equality, seeking to balance the allocation of opportunities between people regardless of their gender, that is, between men, women, and any other conception covered by the LGBTIQ+ category. However, statistics point to an unequal and preferential trend towards men. This is why this document makes a diagnosis of the labor market in Bogotá, Colombia between 2021-2023, from a gender perspective, and with a particular look at transgender people. For this, a characterization of gender identity and sexual orientation was made, from the perspective of the labor market, considering the information available for the city of Bogotá. Then, the theories of human capital are related to the structuring of Mincer's econometric models. and Probit Model. A perception survey is applied among the LGTBIQ+ community, achieving participation of 45 people. Finally, a qualitative exploration is carried out by applying the interview technique to a transgender person. The results indicate that there is a gap in access to formal employment for the transgender population.
