Summary:The following document will develop the optimal and detailed design of an industrial automation system for a specific process in the assembly of shock absorbers in the company Gabriel de Colombia S.A, which to date represents a bottleneck for the company as it has many lapses of dead time, in the same way, the process in question is a repetitive and ergonomically inadequate task for the operator, which indicates that it is an operation that should be replaced by an automated mechanism, for the better the production of the company and the welfare of its workers. Throughout this document, the existing options will be evaluated to feed and position the assembly parts in the correct way, as well as the equipment and elements necessary for this purpose, in order to execute a control system through a programmable logic controller (PLC). ), after obtaining the adequate mechanical and mechatronic design, a maintenance and operation plan will be executed for the correct operation and start-up of the automated system, to finally carry out a financial analysis in order to evaluate the economic viability of the implementation of the system. mechanism for the company.
