Description
Summary:Used tires are an environmental problem that grows with the passing of the months, these come from cars, buses, trucks, etc. With a residue that causes environmental problems of great magnitude if not managed correctly. The stored tires occupy large spaces and also, over time they begin to house vectors such as rats, which can cause damage to health. Alternatives have been implemented such as retreading, where the life of the material is extended, but in the end it continues to become a waste. In the search for alternatives that allow for the correct management of this waste, processes such as recycling have been found, which allows the waste to be treated to obtain new materials that, apart from generating profits, can also incorporate the culture of recycling into the community. This monograph, in addition to showing the current situation at national and global level in terms of the management of tires out of use, resumed the recycling processes that have been incorporated most today: crushing, thermolysis, pyrolysis, incineration, mixing with other materials and tire material regeneration.
