Description
Summary:In recent years the growth of the photovoltaic industry has had considerable growth and in Colombia with the new policies for the implementation of renewable energies; This not only brings an increase in generation projects of this type, but also an increase in the waste generated by these systems. Seeing this problem in the future for our territories, it is important to implement adequate policies for the management of these elements after their useful life, since at this moment they are not thinking about what to do for their correct disposal, the problem will appear within 25 o 30 years in which the elements that generate photovoltaic energy will end. After our investigation, many countries that have already implemented a correct management of this waste have managed to obtain not only environmental benefits, which is the priority, but also economic benefits, for which there is a very high percentage of recycling of the materials of these elements.
