Implementación de herramientas tecnológicas en Congelados Antártico SAS: ejecución de un sistema MRP con almacenamiento en la nube para el área de empaque.

The world is evolving rapidly, and digitalization is a milestone that promotes great changes in the ways of carrying out certain processes for companies. Efficiency, as well as competitiveness, are two parameters that all companies seek to constantly improve and often fail to achieve due to obsolete processes. An example of this situation occurs in ‘Congelados Antártico SAS’, a Colombian company specialized in the processing of tubers and, however, in the field of product packaging, manual records are still kept on paper and pencil, a lack of innovation that puts its operations at risk. Due to the lack of efficiency, process delay and high error rate of this work scheme, the company demands innovation actions to optimize its operational management, taking advantage of digitalization, and to achieve this, a cloud-based materials planning system is proposed, using the MRP methodology. This improvement allows data to be entered in real time using electronic devices, thereby reducing errors and increasing operational efficiency with the control of merchandise and production. By eliminating our dependence on manual records, it is possible to instantly access information and make timely decisions.
