| Summary: | The main objective of this document is to present an action plan to intervene the activities that are generating mercury-containing spills, through the diagnosis of these at the South Headquarters of Antonio Nariño University; describing the life cycle of the processes that generate spills and the selection in this way, those that eliminate these mercury-containing discharges, which are given preventive actions for the presence of mercury and identify technological alternatives for mercury reduction in that medium. According to the above, the main activities that generate wastewater containing Mercury in the South Headquarters of Antonio Nariño University are the Dental Units or Clinics, and within the actions of preventing the presence of mercury in these waters, it is noted: Adequate waste management as a product of the removal of amalgams, use of grates or traps to trap particles of this material , the replacement of the latter with another, among others. |
