Summary: | The purpose of this project was to evaluate ethanol production based on lemon and orange peel residues, from the production process of Alimentos SAS S.A.S. For it; First, we proceeded to determine the parameters for the processes of acid hydrolysis, alcoholic fermentation and distillation, procedures necessary for the transformation of the raw material into the final product. In hydrolysis, the parameters of: substrate quantity, acid type, acid concentration, reaction time, temperature and stirring were taken into account. For fermentation, temperature, stirring, pH and presence were taken into account. Finally, temperature and pressure parameters were considered for distillation. |
