Description
Summary:Based on an in-depth bibliographic study, the production of hydrogen as a sustainable fuel is studied and the possible solutions it could provide at an environmental and sustainability level. Policies at a global and local level are studied. In addition, the projections and goals that are available worldwide for the development of the industry, the different types of corn that exist in Colombia and the different factors that affect the production of hydrogen from said biomass were reviewed, such as particle size, amount of moisture, volatile material content, ash content, moisture sorption, fluidity, apparent density and particle density among others. An analysis of the different pretreatments, whether chemical, biological or physical, was carried out in order to ensure that lignin, which is the most recalcitrant compound and therefore the one that least allows the obtaining of fermentable sugars, affects their obtaining. Likewise, a study was carried out on the different types of hydrogen production, including the most productive, which is dark fermentation since it generates good profitability taking into account expenses and profits.
