Description
Summary:The diet of the majority of Colombians consists of rice, in at least two of the three meals, making it clear that they are the second consumers of rice in Latin America; The drawback of this is that the production of this cereal in the country is not enough to supply all Colombians, thus having to import rice from different countries, such as the United States, Ecuador and Peru. On the other hand, as the production of rice is not enough, the national grain has to compete with the prices of the other countries, in this way the price is not competitive, a way to reduce this price gap increase the production of rice in the country to avoid unnecessary importation and thus have fairer prices for rice producers.
