| Summary: | The reuse of production water from oil fields in agriculture is an alternative that allows optimal use of production water for the benefit of the agricultural sector and the reduction of consumption of traditional water sources. The objective of this monograph is to analyze the production water treatment systems focusing on the technical aspects and their potential for implementation in Colombia in order to take advantage of the treated water in the agricultural sector. For this, information was collected regarding the generalities of the treatment systems, as well as data on the regulatory parameters for the final disposal of the production water, with which a comparison and analysis was developed with respect to water information from two fields in the country, and technical parameters were established that allow adequate treatment for the use of the water potential of the country's oil fields. |
