| Summary: | In order to study the alternative of utility of the residues produced in the productive process of the elaboration of fats and vegetable oils of the company C.I. SIGRA S.A., the present work aims to take advantage of the lipids and fatty acids housed in the residual sludge from each of the raw material transformation processes towards the product of interest, as an energy source for the production of biodiesel. Therefore, a physicochemical characterization of the sludge is carried out, together with the extraction of the energy-usable compounds using them as input in obtaining biodiesel on a laboratory scale. |
