Summary: | Rubiales Field is the largest oil field in the country, with an approximate current production of 120,000 BOPD. Due to its extension, it has a system of lines and trunks to transport the fluids from the wells to the production facilities. There are 14 main trunks belonging to the Field, and Trunk 4 has a great potential for optimization through a nodal analysis of the integrated well-surface system, because it has a large number of associated clusters (21 active and 1 inactive) and well (120 with 74 active). That optimization is obtained for the main problems associated to the system, for example overpressures caused by poor distribution of fluids between Trunk 4 and 9, as well as pumps that are operating with low efficiency in the field. These restrictions must be identified through a nodal analysis technic. |
