Summary:The following project consists of designing an instrumentation and power system for the automation of a sodium hypochlorite production prototype. The work includes the characterization of the existing prototype, the selection of components, the design of the salt and water dosing system, the design of the automation system and the feeding system. The electrical energy necessary for the operation of the entire complex is supplied by photovoltaic solar panels to ensure its operation in remote areas without access to the conventional electrical network. The proposed system constitutes a considerable improvement in the time necessary for the production of hypochlorite, in addition to offering autonomy from the electrical network.
