| Summary: | The civic center for the elderly arises from a problem at the Colombian and departmental level, where in Apartadó, Antioquia the architectural and urban criteria and / or parameters do not meet and are insufficient in linking the spatial characteristics that respond to specific needs of the elderly population. In the research, analyzes are proposed in the areas and characteristics that this population require and in the design guidelines that respond in a viable and sustainable way for independence and autonomy. Family and social integration and bonding is one of the main factors, health understanding the comorbidities that age entails, autonomous habitat from services to daily tasks depending on the spaces and productivity occupying time and generating opportunities beyond of free time and leisure. |
