Summary: | In the mission of teaching, the University of America Foundation has acquired applied technology equipment for the chemical engineering program in order to test the theoretical knowledge acquired throughout the career by its students, serving these as a tool didactic approach to a real work plant scenario. This is how in the present work a methodological approach is carried out that aims to generate tools that allow diagnosing the triple effect evaporation train acquired by the university. To this end, checklists were made in a master list of documents that allow the verification of the elements that make up the purchased equipment, in addition, the simulation of said evaporation train was carried out in the Aspen Plus program, which was validated with literature obtaining Error percentages of an order of 1%. As a result of this a tutorial was generated with which the students could base themselves to carry out optimization processes of the plant and, finally, two experimental guides were developed in which the student is placed in a scenario called role play, in which a role is assumed and specific assigned tasks are fulfilled within the context of a evaporation solution concentration plant. |
