Summary:The present project intends to propose and evaluate a proposal for the production of organic fertilizer from the sludge generated by the water treatment plant of the Agroindustrial Park of the West through an aerobic composting process, which can be implemented as a waste treatment system solids mainly reduce the cost overruns to the company Sitaga SAS by its disposition. Composting is a flexible practice accepted as sustainable for its potential for the treatment and recovery of organic waste, its implementation helps to mitigate the environmental impact and in many cases brings profitability to the companies that implement it. The current management for the sustainable treatment of waste based on the production of fertilizer has different alternatives, from this the development of this project had as its first instance the analysis of the various composting processes that are currently carried out , taking into account the interests of the company, the manufacture of a horizontal reactor with manual flipping will be selected, later with the objective of favoring the process, the main characteristics of the product produced in the plant will be determined, and of the other inputs that were chosen as loading agents; In addition, the controlled parameters were selected throughout the experimentation.
