Description
Summary:Nowadays, tourism is widely promoted in protected natural areas, which is considered an essential strategy to optimize the use of natural resources. However, the lack of planning and information on tourist attractions has caused the appearance of significant environmental, social and economic impacts, as is the case of the recently inaugurated La Serranía Trail, belonging to the Protective Forest Reserve of the Eastern Hills of Bogotá, which since its opening has not considered the development of tourist activities as the axis of the use of resources. Thus, the main objective of the research was to carry out an analysis of the environmental, social and economic impacts associated with the La Serranía natural trail to identify the areas of applicability in sustainable tourism, as well as to enhance the positive aspects that ensure the adequate development of tourist activity.
