Summary:The objective of this degree project is to Design Software for the construction of a Micro Hydraulic Plant in Rural Areas, capable of facilitating, reducing and improving the design and calculation process of specific components for Micro Hydraulic Plants. The calculation and selection processes of components such as the submerged intake, gravity and pressure water pipes have been applied as stipulated by Manning and Hazen Williams, sand traps and Michell Banki Turbines. The result has been a program that runs in a Windows environment, developed in Microsoft Visual Basic Version 6.0, which provides a fast and effective means of selecting components which are linked in Microsoft Excel 2000.
