Summary: | The implementation of renewable energies requires both the transformation of energy and its transportation, distribution and storage. In the following work, the storage of hydrogen as an energy vector is evaluated using the iron oxidation-reduction reaction, coupling it to the production of hydrogen through a PEM electrolyzer. Throughout the research, the most important variables and parameters are defined taking into account the behavior of the processes used. Where it is found that the electrolysis process in a PEM electrolyzer depends largely on the temperature, the pressures of the cathode and anode and the charge density applied to the system. Likewise, the process parameters are related to the construction size, the implementation materials and their thicknesses. |
