Summary:This paper presents the study of temperature stabilization in the anaerobic co-digestion of cattle manures. The aim was to develop a strategy based on the temperature to speed up the production of biogas and/or increase their quality in the percentage of methane. The trial was conducted in climatic conditions of the savannah of Bogota, Colombia. Initially operating conditions anaerobic digestion process were established to determine the parameter that directly affects the production of biogas A conventional digester and a new prototype digester to which is made an improvement was constructed.
