Description
Summary:Currently, the lubricating oils used in the automotive industry and in other industrial processes that can be used in any type of machinery come from physical processes applied to crude oil. These derivatives are highly polluting both in their manufacturing processes, as well as in their use and disposal processes. Knowing the harmful effects on human health and the environment that the processes involving lubricating oils have, it was decided to carry out a study to replace the bases of this type of products with organic bases that were easily degraded or that could provide different production processes that are less polluting to the environment and that maintain the lubrication properties of the oils from the processes carried out on crude oil.
