Summary:The degree project, started with the search for information and references focused on the Test Bench for Diesel Engines. It was found that the biggest problem is in the structure of the bank where it can guide different diesel engines. Initially the information of the specified motors was collected and directed, it was arrived at the idea of designing a modular test bench that is able to adapt to the specific motors for the company., From this information, a dynamometer was selected that meets the requirements specified by the company and selected the mechanisms to perform the coupling of the bank structure to the different specific engines. Therefore, he selected the alternatives that are intended to meet the design needs of the machine. When selecting the alternatives, the detailed design of the components of the test bench structure, divided into the cooling structure, engine, dynamometer and crankshaft coupling of the specified engines, was made with the input shaft of the dynamometer. After making the design of the structure, the analysis by finite elements of the critical parts of the structure was carried out, to know if the pieces were viable or not for the required application. Finally, the manuals of operation and maintenance of the machine were made under the design parameters, the environmental impact of the structure and the financial analysis of the project.
