Análisis de las actividades agrícolas y su efecto en las condiciones socioeconómicas en el departamento del Meta durante el periodo 2010 – 2022

The agricultural sector is fundamental for the economy and social development of the department of Meta since it generates employment, contributes to food security and provides income to the rural population. However, agriculture in this department has experienced significant changes due to the concentration of land owned by a small number of people. The poor distribution of land has limited opportunities for small farmers since, having less access to land, inputs such as seeds, fertilizers and machinery, it affects agricultural production, which in turn affects the social development of the population. Likewise, the existence of conflicts with groups outside the law has interrupted agricultural activities because small farmers are threatened, violated and forced to abandon their lands. This displacement has left many rural families without land and without means of livelihood, which has generated a negative impact on the socioeconomic conditions of the rural population of the department of Meta.
