| Summary: | Used tires constitute a global problem due to their difficult treatment, in recent decades the efforts of industrialized countries have increased to give a better treatment to this waste, and in developing countries the efforts are scarce. This project aims to design a used tire cutting machine, which is part of the NFU-SENA-FUA project, which aims to treat discarded tires, improving the environmental conditions of the city and the country. The development of the design of the machine began with a bibliographic search of the necessary parameters for the design of the machine, then the comparison of different machines used for the processing of used tires was made, allowing to have an overview of the process. cutting and shredding tires. |
