Propuesta para el aprovechamiento de los lodos generados en la PTAR de la empresa regional Aguas del Tequendama

The proposal was made in the regional water company Tequendama in the municipality of La Mesa - Cundinamarca. This company is in charge of providing the public services of aqueduct, sewerage and cleaning in this municipality. This company has a domestic wastewater treatment plant called the Carbonera, where domestic wastewater is treated by means of a preliminary treatment and a secondary treatment in which 1 ton of residual sludge is produced monthly, which They have to be treated in order to take advantage of them. In the first instance, an investigation of different bibliographical documents related to the use of residual sludge was carried out, in order to have an initial characterization of the carbonate muds, based on chemical and microbiological parameters according to decree 1287. The characterization resulted in the chemical parameters were within the maximum permissible values, but as for the microbiological parameters, these had to be reduced by means of a mud treatment and then be able to take advantage of them according to the results obtained.
