Summary: | The process to pluck a chicken is an arduous task carried out by many farmers and small poultry farmers to deliver a food in optimal conditions of consumption; many of them who have dedicated part of their lives to this job, expressing dissatisfaction with this process, due to the time it takes; the first step to perform this task is to submerge the chicken (prior to this the chicken was already slaughtered and bled) in boiling water for 30 seconds and with gloves (to avoid burns on the hands) remove the feathers until the skin is completely clean and in this way submerge the chicken in cold water to stop cooking (this process is technically known as blanching). |
