Description
Summary:The purpose of this document was to analyze the implementation of an Energy Management System (SGEn), based on the guidelines established by the international standard ISO 50001, through the presentation and analysis of a series of case studies of Latin American organizations. Initially, generalities of the ISO 50001 standard are described, highlighting the continuous improvement strategy that it adopts and under which the entire deployment of an Energy Management System is governed. Likewise, from a strategic perspective, the evolution of the regulations over the years at a global level is described, focusing on the Latin American panorama, thus pointing out those Latin American countries and the respective industrial sectors that lead the implementation and certification.
