Conocí a Bianca Laliberté cuando la profesora e investigadora mexicana Nuria Cartón de Granmmont Lara me invitó a hablar de mi obra en su clase sobre arte y violencia en América Latina en la Universidad de Concordia (Montréal). Con temor y un inglés torpe intenté explicar al auditorio las motivaciones que me llevaron a crear El Negro es Ausencia de Luz. Desde entonces, a pesar de la distancia, mantenemos una bella amistad. Ella quiso reflexionar un poco sobre mi trabajo y yo en agradecimiento traduje al español su texto. A pesar de la aparente falta de distancia objetiva, con todo respeto me he acercado al texto de Bianca quien ha desmenuzado mis motivaciones a la luz de un quirófano filosófico. |
