Summary:The Colombian School of Engineering Julio Garavito, in the Program of Specialization in Development and Integral Management of Projects, establishes as a requirement to obtain the Specialist Degree the elaboration of a Degree Work, which allows to put into practice the knowledge acquired during the curriculum. . In this context, the Work Team comprised of students from cohort 16 of the Program, developed as an academic exercise the project called "Pre-feasibility study for the assembly of an alternative energy system in the ice bank of the Alquería Santa Marta plant" . This document provides information on the most relevant aspects regarding the strategic alignment, formulation and evaluation of the Project, through the development of market, technical, environmental, administrative, legal, financial and financing studies; also a summary of the respective Management Plan. It is important to highlight that both the Degree Project and the Project are articulated with the management plans developed in accordance with 9 of the 10 areas of knowledge of the 5th edition of the PMBOK, prioritized by the Work Team.
