En muchas de las poblaciones colombianas es posible observar el deterioro ambiental de los cuerpos hídricos, la invasión de las rondas hidráulicas y los cauces que ocasionan riesgos a los habitantes de los sectores más vulnerables de la población. En la actualidad es un objetivo de las autoridades encargadas de la planeación de las ciudades la recuperación del medio natural. Se requiere generar espacios de vida para mitigar los efectos ambientales y propiciar el desarrollo sostenible en los sectores vulnerables de las ciudades. (POMCA. Decreto 1640 de 2012, Ministerio del medio ambiente y desarrollo sostenible). De esta forma, es necesario plantear lineamientos para el análisis de la situación y el manejo de la problemática ambiental, con el propósito de establecer acciones que recuperen el paisaje, que sean sostenibles y se adecuen a la realidad de las ciudades. Desde este punto de vista y teniendo en cuenta la problemática que se presenta en la periferia de las ciudades se plantea en forma general los aspectos que pueden ser tenidos en cuenta en la caracterización de los cauces urbanos en la zona de montaña y una metodología que puede ser implementada en procesos de recuperación de cauces urbanos. |

Now days is an objective of authorities in charge of the planning of the cities to the recovery of natural environment. It requires to generate spaces of life to reduce the environmental effects and favour the sustainable development on the vulnerable areas of the cities. (POMCA. Decreto 1640 de 2012, Ministerio del medio ambiente y desarrollo sostenible). In this way, it’s necessary to set out lineaments to the analysis of the condition and the management of the environmental problematic, in order to establish actions that could recover the landscape, be sustainable and adjust to the reality of cities.
