Esta investigación tiene como objetivo comprender las representaciones sociales de la violencia hacia los hombres en el contexto de pareja de los estudiantes de la Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia. Se llevó a cabo un estudio cualitativo con un enfoque fenomenológico que permitió explorar en profundidad el discurso y los significados que los estudiantes atribuyen a esta problemática. Este enfoque se centró en la comprensión de las experiencias subjetivas de un grupo de 14 participantes hombre y mujeres, quienes dieron sentido a la problemática presentada. El análisis de los datos recopilados se realizó mediante la técnica de grupo focal, utilizando una guía de discusión con preguntas abiertas. El estudio arroja luz sobre cómo las representaciones sociales influyen en las experiencias y percepciones de la violencia de género en esta población. Estos hallazgos proporcionan una base sólida para futuros esfuerzos de cambio social y promoción de la igualdad de género al cuestionar las creencias arraigadas que perpetúan la violencia de género en las relaciones de pareja. |

A qualitative study with a phenomenological approach was conducted to deeply explore students' discourse and meanings attributed to this issue. This approach focused on understanding the subjective experiences of a group of 14 male and female participants who gave meaning to the issue. Data analysis was carried out using the focus group technique, utilizing an open-ended discussion guide. The study sheds light on how social representations influence the experiences and perceptions of gender-based violence in this population.
