Rosario Casas Dupuy

Rosario Casas Dupuy María del Rosario Casas Dupuy is a Colombian academic and retired intelligence officer. During the Cold War, Casas Dupuy worked at the Colombian Embassy in Mexico City, and was employed by both the Central Intelligence Agency and the KGB. In 1994, she was caught and arrested as a double agent on charges of espionage against the United States on behalf of the Soviet Union. After a confession, she was released on a plea bargain, and returned to Colombia. She has been involved in academia ever since, and is currently a professor of literary studies and philosophy at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and the National University of Colombia. She also actively translates educational material. She has earned several honorary degrees and regional awards for her works in education. Provided by Wikipedia
